亚单位疫苗需要有佐剂诱导才能产生有效的免疫,目前大多数熟知的佐剂中由于局部注射引起副作用,一直不被推荐作为人用和兽用。具有佐剂特性的物质对宿主无毒无害是很重要的,特别是如果它还有明显的生理作用。维生素A和它的同类物是一种可能的选择对象。本研究目的在于应用水溶性维生素A(WMVA)的衍生物来重新估价维生素A的佐剂特性并确定其能诱导蛋白抗原产生有效的免疫力。
Subunit vaccines require adjuvant induction to produce effective immunity, and most of the well-known adjuvants presently cause side effects due to local injection and have not been recommended for human and veterinary use. It is important that a substance with adjuvant properties be non-toxic to the host, especially if it has significant physiological effects. Vitamin A and its congeners are a possible choice. The aim of this study was to use a derivative of water-soluble vitamin A (WMVA) to reevaluate the adjuvant properties of vitamin A and determine its ability to induce effective immunity to protein antigens.
