The editorial theory started in the 1980s regards the author of “discovery, cultivation and possession” as the core content of the relationship between editors and authors of academic journals. The basis for constructing this relationship is the editor’s right of revising. With the full implementation of peer reviewers’ anonymous reviewing system, it is inevitable that the right of editing and reviewing manuscripts will be inevitable, so that this theoretical construction will face the crisis of subversion. It is necessary for us to re-examine the relationship between editors and authors of academic journals and to establish a new type of editorship and author relationship under the peer-reviewer’s peer review system. Anonymous peer review by peer experts can make the editors more accurate and accurate on author’s “discovery” The concept of “cultivating” should be replaced by the concept of “service.” Whether the “stable” author group can be “owned” depends on the success or failure of the specialization and thematic transformation of academic journals .
