In the catalytic chromogenic system, the introduction of a suitable activator can significantly improve the reaction sensitivity, through experiments, we observed that ethanol on Cu-catechol-H2O2 catalytic chromogenic reaction significantly sensitized activation. The experimental conditions of the system were studied and successfully applied to the determination of trace copper in food and hair samples. 1 Reagents and Instruments Model 7230 spectrophotometer; pHS-2
