兰迪·加里森(Randy Garrison)是很有影响力的国际远程教育学者、三代教育技术和远程教育理论的倡导者之一。他一直致力于成人教育、远程教育和高等教育等领域的研究,对于批判性思维、自主学习和传播技术的使用等方面做出了杰出贡献。本文在对加里森研究成果进行概述的基础上,重点分析了他的交互控制理论、三代教育技术与三代远程教育理论以及批判性思维和探究社区理论。讨论了加里森理论和学术思想,对我国远程教育发展的指导作用。
Randy Garrison is an influential international distance learning scholar, one of three generations of advocates for educational technology and distance education. He has been dedicated to research in adult education, distance education and higher education and has made outstanding contributions to critical thinking, autonomous learning and the use of communication technologies. Based on an overview of Garrison’s research results, this article focuses on his theory of interactive control, three generations of educational technology and the theory of three generations of distance education, as well as his critical thinking and exploration of community theory. Discusses Garrison theory and academic thought, and guides the development of distance education in our country.
