The authors evaluated the prognosis of 166 cases of metastatic prostate cancer treated with various androgen-reducing prostate cancers using an initial bone scan. A total body bone scan was performed by intravenously injecting ~(99m)Tc-MDP at 740 MBq (20mCi) for 2 to 3 hours. The relationship between EOD and survival was analyzed by a semi-quantitative grading system based on the number or range of metastatic lesions (EOD).
