Analysis of the Bus Market in 2016 1. Sales volume dropped sharply In 2016, the sales volume of passenger cars dropped significantly as compared with the same period of last year. Data show that in 2016, the sales volume of passenger cars in China was 546,410 vehicles and 543,313 respectively, down by 7.44% and 8.73% on a year-on-year basis respectively. The year-on-year drop in sales volume was maintained at 8% -9 for 5 consecutive months %. As can be seen from Figure 1, since 2011, the overall growth of the passenger car market has started to slow down. As a whole, it maintained a positive growth trend by 2014.
