SARS in 2003 brought great disaster to the people and the damage caused by it still makes people feel painless and painful. The tragedy occurred with the infectious disease reporting system is not unrelated. Painful lessons for medical and health decision-making departments made a painstaking decision: to establish a national network of infectious diseases direct reporting system. In early 2004, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (hereinafter referred to as “China CDC”) network of infectious diseases direct trial run system. Wang Yu, director of China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that after the establishment of an infectious disease direct reporting system, the level of monitoring of infectious diseases in our country has been greatly enhanced. Now that the CDC is well aware of the real-time situation of all kinds of infectious diseases in the country, it will be informed in time if there is a slight difference. The CDC’s network direct reporting system has played an important role in the relief of influenza A and bird flu outbreaks in natural disasters such as Wenchuan and Yushu.
