当今日本皇室使用的家纹为菊花纹,由于日本目前在法律上对国章或国徽没有明确规定,所以依照传统均是用代表皇室的“十六八重表菊纹”作为国章使用。菊花由中国传入日本,其在日的文化含义也多来自中国。但随着菊纹的产生和发展,它与皇室发生了联系,并对日本人来说开始逐渐有了特殊意义。本文将从菊及菊纹的历史沿革角度来探讨日本皇室与菊纹间的关系,明确菊纹作为皇室御纹发展至今的各种变迁,从而从一个侧面反映了日本文化中的亲植物性,同时也可看出日本人在注重保存传统文化内涵方面的优良传统。
