In 2001, Cincinnati commissioned Bernard Chu, Architect to design a new school athletics track center. The University demanded that the center be the center of track and field training, management, sports medicine and academic activities on an undeveloped campus. We chose the concept of a boomerang for a lot, called a “free-form context.” We have to cross the important area below the building. By working with structural engineers, we decided to make the building envelope a rigid truss. This not only satisfies the conditions that go below, but the structural challenge will be a business card for the project. This site and planning tactics are both reasonable and tactical. Turtle’s sketch is a quick abstraction. The purpose of this hand drawing is table
