In order to vigorously promote the specialization and prevention and control of crop pests and diseases, in 2012 the Ministry of Agriculture launched a nationwide campaign to systematize the prevention and control of pests and diseases in agriculture and the top 100 service organizations. The recommendation of the agricultural department at the county level, the preliminary appraisal of the provincial agricultural sector, the planting management department of the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Agricultural Technology Center jointly organized plant protection experts to examine and appraise the 183 prevention and treatment service organizations recommended by the localities.
