Machine noise can often be traced back to the defects of the rolling bearing rings. One way to determine if bearings are annoying vibrations is to calculate their possible output frequencies and compare them to the measured system frequency. The number of noise pulses per revolution is usually equal to the number of seat ring raceways multiplied by the number of rolling elements, N_b, but the actual number of transmit pulses will be much lower than this product, which produces a generally undesirable noise frequency.
