OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of auricular point compression combined with quality nursing on the pain, quality of life and nursing satisfaction of perioperative patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: Ninety cases of gallstones undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to random number table. The patients in both groups were treated with anti-infection and rehydration after operation. The control group received high-quality nursing before and after operation. The observation group received auricular pressure with the intervention of the control group. The improvement of pain and quality of life before and after the intervention in two groups were observed to evaluate the patient’s satisfaction with nursing. Results: Before intervention, there was no significant difference in gastrointestinal quality of life index (GIQLI) between the two groups (P> 0.05). After intervention, the GIQLI in both groups was significantly higher than that before treatment (P <0.05). The GIQLI in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). Before intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups in visual analogue scale (VAS) score (P> 0.05). After intervention, the VAS scores of both groups were significantly lower than those before intervention (P <0.05). The VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P> 0.05). The satisfaction rate of nursing in the observation group was 97.8%, while that in the control group was 96.1%. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05). Conclusion: Auricular pressure with high-quality nursing intervention in perioperative patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy can effectively reduce pain, improve quality of life, and high satisfaction with nursing.
