意符是合体字当中表意的构件。汉字意符具有认知中介的作用,是汉字字义的“衍生因子”。意符来源多数是独立的象形字,它继承了原字的音和义。意符取形方式分为据形构义和借形构义两大类,这两种取形方式与人类的隐喻(Metaphor)认知和转喻(Metonymy)认知密不可分。意符本义的厘定不但和所取事物有关,也和取形的方式密切关联。同一事物,因取形方法不同,往往产生表意功能的分化。本文以《说文解字》系统中的295个意符为研究对象,重点考察意符义形成的心理过程,并对其构建的心理机制从认知语言学角度予以分析,以期揭示意符表意系统构建的深层次规律。
The meaning of symbols is a component of the meaning of a compound word. The meaning of Chinese characters as a cognitive intermediary is the “derivative factor” of the meaning of Chinese characters.
