鞍山竖炉在进行块状贫赤铁矿磁化焙烧时,由于矿石在炉内下料速度不均匀及布料偏析等影响,使焙烧矿磁性很不均匀。其中含有许多没有得到充分还原的赤铁矿,在磁选过程中造成大量金属流失,因此影响了金属回收率的提高。块状赤铁石英岩在焙烧过程中的特点就是还原后的矿石遇水急冷便自然碎裂。鉴于这种情况,曾对焙烧产品粒度与还原质量关系进行了考察,发现细级别的焙烧矿还原较好,磁性也较强;而粗级别的焙烧矿大部分还原较差,磁性也较弱。这就说明如果能将粗级别还原不足的弱磁性部分再返回
