曲率模态常用于计算结构动强度设计中的应力状态。针对桥梁等承弯结构研究曲率模态与应变模态之间的关系 ,阐明了曲率模态分析的理论依据及其特性 ,如曲率模态的正交性和叠加性等 ;推导了有关公式并据以说明曲率模态试验方法和参数识别 ;探讨了曲率模态在动强度设计、结构损伤检测等方面的应用。由于曲率模态是结构的中性面的变形模态 ,它对结构的局部变化与应变有相同的敏感性 ,但其模态表达式将比应变模态简单 ,而应变与曲率之间有简单的关系 ,因此曲率模态在动态设计应用上将更为方便
