Snake venom is rich in nerve growth factor and has high biological activity. Whether central or peripheral nerves are damaged, NGF can exhibit a unique role in promoting the development of neural plasticity. Its possible mechanism is related to the regulation of TrkA receptors, activation of L-type calcium by promoting the release of acetylcholine and regulating LTP and LTD. The study on the mechanism of venom NGF promotes neural plasticity may provide new therapeutic approaches and promote the development of drug treatment for the treatment and rehabilitation of neurological diseases.
