有学者认为,自近代以来,传统手工艺经历了持续的物种消亡过程,一旦灭绝,即人技皆亡,或者人在技亡,再无复活的可能。以此认定,传统手工艺的发展应该是连贯的、延续的。然而,一种传统手工技艺的消亡并不同于生物学上的死亡,徽州砖雕省级传承人吴正辉的“复活”实例表明,传统手工艺只待有适宜的环境就可能重新“复活”。
Some scholars believe that, since modern times, traditional handicrafts have undergone a continuous process of extinction of species.
