The purpose of this article is to interpret the “Book of Changes” from the perspective of semiotics. Western semiotics and the Book of Changes are different systems of purpose. However, since the Book of Changes is composed of the symbols of 64 hexagrams and 384 因, the semiotic study is completely consistent with the nature of the text of the Book of Changes. The notion of the “Book of Changes” symbolism is characterized by the use of pan-symbolism to view the universe as a symbolic world. In the Book of Changes, there is a recorded hexagram of the specific historical events, so that we can find a decisive clue to restore the historical and cultural space of the birth symbol. The author will explore the Dasan interpretation of these hexagrams, review the feasibility of Dasan explained.
