China’s machine tool industry has basically formed a more comprehensive production and scientific research system. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 800 machine tool manufacturers in the country, and there are fewer than 20 backbone machine manufacturers with certain mass production capacity of CNC machine tools. In recent years, China’s machine tool output has been between 16 to 260,000 units/year, ranking first in the world’s machine tool production. However, most of the products are still ordinary machine tools, especially horizontal lathes and small and medium-sized mechanical pressure machine tools, the proportion of which is too large (>40%), and the production of CNC machine tools is long.
