In this paper,the author proposed a linked data-oriented framework for resource descnption and organization in semantic digital libraries,which includes four layers—metadata layer,ontology layer,linked data layer and application layer.The core of the framework is the construction and linking of RDF-based semantic metadata.Using the data from the domain of “Library,Information & Archival Science” as an example,the author focused on the ontology layer and linked data layer to implement the framework,which involves the design of related ontologies,automatic transformation of traditional metadata into semantic metadata,construction of RDF semantic links among different datasets,and publishing of linked data etc.
