后现代语境下的“艺术终结”问题,在黑格尔那里可以找到明显的哲学根源;艺术的终结随之导致了作为艺术哲学的美学的终结。在后现代时期,随着艺术日益被纳入保持中立的商业文化的范围,它已失去了批判的潜质和揭示真理的功能。进而言之,这种艺术的转向必然带来美学的转向,使作为艺术哲学存在的现代美学最终让位于作为文化哲学存在的后现代美学。
The issue of “the end of art” in the postmodern context can find obvious philosophical roots in Hegel; the end of art has led to the end of the aesthetic philosophy of art philosophy. In the postmodern period, as art was increasingly incorporated into the framework of a neutral business culture, it had lost the potential for criticism and the function of revealing truth. Furthermore, the turning of this art will inevitably lead to the turning of aesthetics, so that the modern aesthetics existing as the philosophy of art eventually gives way to postmodern aesthetics as the existence of cultural philosophy.
