The application of triethylamine hydrogen trifluoride in the synthesis of fluorinated aliphatic compounds is reviewed. The reactions using nucleophilic fluoridation, electrophilic fluoridation, epoxy ring-opening fluorination and electrochemical fluorination are reviewed.
