书法学科建设靠书法史、书法批评与书法理论三个主要分支学科来支撑,三分支独立成系,又互为关联。从学科层次的角度而言,书法批评充当着书法史与书法理论之间的桥梁角色。换句话说,如果仅有书法史学成果,那么书法将是一个个孤立的小湖泊,而书法批评的作用则是对湖泊进行有效链接从而形成一条奔腾的长河,至于这条长河何以存在、怎样发生、走向何处则是书法理论的事。显然,书法理论的对象首先必须是一条完整的书
The discipline of calligraphy is supported by three main branch disciplines: calligraphy history, calligraphy criticism and calligraphy theory. The three branches are independent and are mutually related. From a disciplinary level, calligraphic criticism serves as a bridge between the history of calligraphy and the theory of calligraphy. In other words, if there is only the calligraphy historiography, then calligraphy will be a small isolated lake. The function of calligraphy criticism is to effectively link the lakes to form a long and prosperous river. As to how this long river lives and how it occurs Where to go is the theory of calligraphy.
