１８世纪法国启蒙思想家大多对中国传统文化发生浓厚兴趣，注意利用或借鉴中国传统文化与自身思想观点相融合，为反对天主教会和封建专制以及建设新文化服务。本文对此作了论述，试图从一个侧面论证中国文化在西方文化现代化进程中所起的独特作用。同时指出，当今我国社会转型时期的新文化建设应依托传统实现古今融合，立足现实进行中西会通。
Most 18th-century French enlightenment thinkers took a great interest in Chinese traditional culture, paying attention to integrating or borrowing Chinese traditional culture and their own ideological points of view, in opposition to the Catholic Church and feudal autocracy and building new cultural services. This article discusses this, trying to demonstrate from one aspect the unique role of Chinese culture in the process of Western cultural modernization. At the same time, he pointed out: At present, the new cultural construction in the period of social transformation in our country should rely on the traditional integration of past and present and base the reality on the realization of the China-West society.
