李庄同志,河北省徐水县人,1918年生,1939年参加革命,1983年任人民日报总编辑,现已退居二线。李庄是我国著名记者,在抗日战争、解放战争、朝鲜战争期间,写过大量战地通讯,后来主要从事编报工作,对办报积累了丰富的经脸。在近50年的新闻生涯中,李庄在人民日报社历经了各个重要时期和各种大事。他正在撰写的《我在人民日报四十年》,将走有关中央党报及其前身晋冀鲁豫《人民日投》、华北《人民日报》的珍责史料,对于总结党报工作经验,推动改革、开放时期的新闻改革,也会有所益。本刊从本期走,’将分篇连载这份回忆录,以飨读者。
