Occult breast cancer (OBC) is a type of breast cancer that is rarely seen in clinic. It is more common in 40 to 60-year-old women. The incidence rate is about 0.3% to 1.0% of the total incidence of breast cancer [1]. OBC is usually the first symptom in metastatic axillary lymph nodes or other parts of the body. Clinically used imaging diagnostic methods are difficult to find the primary lesions in the breast, leading to low detection rate of OBC, affecting clinical treatment and prognosis [2-3]. From February 2005 to February 2014, 36 patients with OBC were diagnosed in our hospital.
