Dolphin is one of the most precious （珍贵的） animals in the world. Their bodies are very long. They live in the sea and live on fish， shrimps （虾） and so on. Dolphins live in oceans around the world. There are more than 30 different species （物种） of these beautiful animals. Some live in small groups just a few members. Others live in very large groups of 10，000 dolphins or more. Dolphins use loud noises to communicate with each other. They can swim very fast—up to 40 kilometers per hour.
Dolphins are very friendly and peaceful. They never attack people. Dolphins enjoy being with people. They often swim alongside boats. There are even stories of dolphins saving swimmers in trouble. Dolphins are very clever too. People often train them so that they can give dolphin show which brings people a lot of happiness and joy.
