This is a science and technology article from the British “Economist” magazine. The article is divided into two parts: The first part states that American scientists believe that the current decline in the birth rate of male babies in countries such as Britain and the United States is related to the increase in single mothers because they are more likely to have girls; the latter part is based on the findings of American scientists. Why single mothers are more likely to have girls. The author expressed his disagreement at the end of the article. Why would a single mother be more likely to have a girl? Is it due to sexual activity? Evolutionary results? Or other reasons? You will get an answer in this article. You will also know why you are a woman or a man. Maybe, even if you know it, you don’t believe it. Like ordinary science articles, the language of this article is concise and clear, especially in the sentence structure, but there are more professional vocabulary and explanations will be emphasized.
