每年6月5日前后,都有日本老兵来重庆,跪在渝中区较场口十八梯防空洞前,手捧鲜花、敬献花篮,向殉难者默哀。在中国,很少有城市,拥有像重庆这样纵横交错的防空洞。即使今天,重庆较场口的十八梯防空洞与生活亲密相依,有人在防空洞里吃邮亭鲫鱼、在防空洞里修摩托车、买打折书,唱歌跳舞。每年夏天,重庆市民在十八梯防空洞里乘凉睡觉,成为重庆的一大风景。 Before and after June 5 each year, all Japanese veterans came to Chongqing, kneeling in front of the Eighteen Ladder Bridges in the Yuzhong District, holding flowers, laying flower baskets and observing the martyrs’ silences.
