语言的学习离不开语言学理论的指导,而且一种语言本身负载着具体的思想和文化。因此在外国语教学中,充分运用语言学的各种理论,对指导外国语教学,跨越外国语文化障碍有总会要意义。全文首先分析了语言学理论及其在外国语教学中的重要性,随后从三个方面阐述了语言学理论在外国语教学中的具体应用:心理语言学理论强调利用情节记忆和关联记忆,有助于外国语词汇教学;功能语言学理论有利于教师充分认识到听力和口语的重要性,进而努力提高他们的语言表达能力;篇章语言学理论指导学生提高对语篇整理理解的能力,为与他人交流打下良好的基础。
