相关分析显示:血浆Apelin与FBG(r=0.587,P<0.01)、FINs(r=0.632,P<0.01)、BMI(r=0.564,P<0.01)、TG(r=0.385,P<0.05)、TC(r=0.467,P<0.05)、HOMA-IR(r=0.667,P<0.01)、VCAM-1(r=0.701,P<0.01)呈正相关,与HOMA-β呈负相关(r=-0.567,P<0.01)。
Objective To investigate the levels of plasma Apelin and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and to explore the correlation between Apelin and VCAM-1, hyperinsulinemia, obesity and glucose and lipid metabolism. Methods The levels of fasting plasma Apelin and VCAM-1 in T2DM patients and normal glucose regulation (NGR) population were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and the levels of body weight, body weight, fasting serum insulin, fasting blood glucose (FBG), triglyceride ), Total cholesterol (TC), body mass index (BMI), insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) and islet β cell function index (HOMA-β). Results Plasma levels of Apelin and VCAM-1 in patients with type 2 diabetes were significantly higher than those in controls (P <0.01). The correlation analysis showed that there was significant difference between Apelin and FBG (r = 0.587, P <0.01), FINs (r = 0.632, (R = 0.467, P0.05), HOMA-IR (r = 0.667, P <0.01), VCAM-1 (r = 0.701, P <0.01) and negative correlation with HOMA- -0.567, P <0.01). Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that VCAM-1 was independently associated with Apelin (R2VCAM-1 = 0.686, P <0.01). Conclusions Plasma Apelin and VCAM-1 levels are elevated in patients with type 2 diabetes. Apelin is associated with VCAM-1, hyperinsulinemia, obesity, glucose and lipid metabolism, and VCAM-1 level is independently related to Apelin. It is speculated that Apelin and vascular endothelial Functional impairment related.
