十七世纪初,茶叶传到欧洲后,英国人就成了茶的崇拜者。英国人十分爱好茶叶,皇家贵族都以茶为饮料,甚至以茶作为皇后寿辰的礼品。英国人民称赞茶是“群芳最”,视茶为“康乐饮料之王”,对茶赞美不已,如诗曰:花神宠秋色,嫦娥矜月桂,月桂与秋色,难与茶比美。
At the beginning of the seventeenth century, after the tea came to Europe, the British became worshipers of tea. The British are very much in favor of tea, the royal aristocrats all use tea as their drink, and even tea as the gift of the Queen’s birthday. The British people praised the tea as “the most quintessential” and regarded the tea as “the king of recreational drinks”. It praised the tea endlessly. Poetry reads: Flowers fall in love with autumn, Chang’e laurel, laurel and autumn are more difficult than tea.
