目前我国空管系统的人为因素方面的研究已经达到了一个比较高的水平,在班组资源管理、协作监督机制、工作程序的设计、人性化管理、管制员的气质特征、注意力等等领域的人为因素研究都达到了相当的深度和广度,这有利于我们认识和掌握空管安全的客观规律,提高系统安全性。但是由于在见习管制员的培训方面的人为因素研究涉足甚少。而近年来因见习管制员引起的管制事故征候和严重差错却时有所闻。在《空管事件汇编1992—1996》中因见习管制员引起的不安全事件就有10起,占20%,此类事件近年来也时有发生,这反映了目前我国空管系统在见习管制员的培训方面尚存在不少问题,需引起相应的重视,开展相关的研究,从而防微杜渐。
