As long as we walk this earth, one thing we should all discover is this. The more you know, the more you know you don’t know. That’s a quote1 from Aristotle, the Greek philosopher who lived over 2,300 years ago. It basically2 means that no matter how much we learn in school as kids and later in life as adults, we’ll find there’s always more to learn about everything.
只要我们走遍这个世界,我们都应该发现的一件事就是:你知道的越多,你就知道,你不知道的更多。这是2300多年前希腊哲学家亚里士多德的一句话。它的基本意思是,无论我们儿时在学校以及在成年后的生活中学到多少,我们都会发现总会有更多东西要学习。
If we decide that we know everything there is to know and stop being opening to learning, we become ignorant3 and miss out so much that our wonderful world has to teach us.
