在“5·12”汶川大地震发生后的媒体战中,中国媒体快速反应,第一时间进行信息发布,籍此掌控了全球范围的话语权和舆论主导权。在突发公共事件中,媒体除了具有信息传播和宣传作用外,还具有替国家、政府组织动员社会力量的作用。中国政府对全球媒体就抗震救灾报道实行开放、公开、透明的政策,既为中国媒体的出色表现创造了条件,也为在全球范围展现一个自信、开放、以人为本的国家形象把握了重要历史时机。而中国媒体此次突破的背后,是国家政策、机制的保障和社会与媒体的持续变革。
In the media war after the “May 12” Wenchuan earthquake, the Chinese media reacted swiftly and released information in the first place, thus controlling the global voice and public opinion. In public emergencies, the media not only has the function of information dissemination and publicity, but also has the function of mobilizing social forces for the state and government organizations. The Chinese government’s open, open and transparent policy on earthquake relief coverage by the global media has created conditions for the excellent performance of the Chinese media and has grasped important historical timing for displaying a confident, open and people-oriented national image on a global scale. Behind this breakthrough of the Chinese media is the guarantee of the state’s policies and mechanisms as well as the continuous changes in society and the media.
