以不同含水量的乙醇为碳源,分别以Fe/Mo、Ag、Au为催化剂,采用化学气相沉积法制备了单壁碳纳米管。通过SEM,AFM,TEM等表征方法研究了碳纳米管的形貌和微观结构。结果表明,用Fe/Mo、Ag、Au均能长出高质量的碳管阵列,特别是Au的“Sputtering”法,可以不用繁琐地制备纳米颗粒催化剂便得到SWNT阵列。同时也研究了乙醇中含水量对生长碳管的影响,得出含水量3%的乙醇最有利于碳管的生长。探讨3种不同金属催化剂生长碳纳米管的机理,发现Fe/Mo催化剂是遵从VLS机理,而Ag、Au催化剂来生长碳材料,是由本身的纳米颗粒尺寸直接决定的。
Single-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were prepared by chemical vapor deposition using Fe / Mo, Ag and Au as catalysts respectively with different water content as the carbon source. The morphology and microstructure of carbon nanotubes were investigated by SEM, AFM and TEM. The results show that SWNT arrays can be obtained without the cumbersome preparation of nanoparticulate catalysts by using the “Sputtering ” method which can produce high quality carbon nanotubes with Fe / Mo, Ag and Au. At the same time, the influence of water content in ethanol on the growth of carbon nanotubes was also studied. It was concluded that ethanol with 3% water content was the most conducive to the growth of carbon nanotubes. The mechanism of the growth of carbon nanotubes by three different metal catalysts was discussed. It was found that the Fe / Mo catalyst complies with the VLS mechanism. However, the growth of carbon materials by Ag and Au catalysts is directly determined by the size of the nanoparticles themselves.
