This essay explores the different cultural experiences of Liang Qichao’s tour of the United States more than 100 years ago by reinterpreting the New World Travel Notes and concluding that the writing of travelogue is the observation of “observation ” and “between the West and the East at that time ”The cultural power of the pattern of breakthroughs. His “American writing ” can be regarded as a cultural operation, showing the “self-reliance” among Chinese people, culture and self-hate after the Jiawu day. As a Chinese and “scholar”, Liang Qichao has a keen interest in the United States and many of his discoveries and judgments over the United States go beyond China’s own interests and become quite objective and fairly accurate predictions of the United States.
