小学生进入初中,英语学习有一个过渡期,它主要是英语教学在小学和初中的差异造成的。小学英语教学的特点是:教学内容直观、易学,目标单一,教学方法多采用适合学生特点的直观化、游戏化、表演化、歌曲化、谚语化、手工化等,小学阶段教师的最大特点是更注重趣味性、娱乐性,所以在教学中,要注重表演、游戏、竞赛等趣味性较强的教学方法,注重活跃课堂气氛。而中学阶段教学内容、目标、方法都和小学有所不同,教学方式向成人化过渡,教学内容以语音、语法等理论知识为主,知识量和难度都有所加大。
