鸭绿江发源于长白山南麓的白头山，穿山越谷，蜿蜒而下，向西南流经吉林省集安，过辽宁省丹东市至东港市，注入黄海。全长795千米，流经吉林境内489千米，流经辽宁丹东地区境内306千米，可谓源远流长。然而，关于鸭绿江的名称，自古迄今，说法不一，对其含义之解也有望文生义之
The Yalu River originates from Baitoushan at the south foot of Changbai Mountain and runs through the valleys of the mountains. It winds down and flows southward through Ji’an in Jilin Province and Dandong City in Liaoning Province to Donggang City, into the Yellow Sea. A total length of 795 km, flowing through 489 km in Jilin, Dandong in Liaoning through the territory of 306 km, can be described as a long history. However, as far as the name of the Yalu River is concerned, there have been different opinions since ancient times, and the solution to its meaning is also expected to be justified
