1地质概况白云鄂博铁-稀土-铌矿床位于内蒙古包头市以北150km处,大地构造横跨华北古陆及内蒙海西古大洋两大构造单元。大陆与大洋之间被乌兰宝力格深大断裂隔开,北为内蒙海西古大洋区,是一套含蛇绿岩的大洋型沉积岩;以南至包头为华北陆块内蒙地轴的北侧部分。白云鄂博矿床分布在宽沟背斜的南翼,南部向斜两翼的白云岩或白云岩与板岩之间,形成一个狭长的东西向的矿带,长约18km,宽约2~3km。在48km2的范围内,分布有大大小小的铁矿床。其中最大的两个为主矿和东矿,
GEOLOGICAL OVERVIEW The Bayan Obo-Rare Earth-Niobium deposit is located 150 km north of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia. Its tectonic structure crosses the two major tectonic units of North China’s ancient land and Inner Mongolia’s Hercynian. The mainland and the ocean are separated by the Ulan-Baghdad deep-seated faults, and the north is the Western Hemisphere of Inner Mongolia. It is a set of oceanic sedimentary rocks containing ophiolite. From the south to Baotou is the northern part of the axis of Inner Mongolia in North China Side part. The Bayan Obo deposit is located between the south wing of the Wugou anticline and the dolomite or dolomite and slate in the southern syncline and forms an elongated east-west ore belt about 18 km long and 2 ~ 3 km wide.
