Eugene O’Neill described a group of homeless, outdated wretches in a series entitled “The Iceman Comes.” They are dreaming and comforting each other throughout the day in order to escape the cold, desperate reality of the world and to try to give meaning to life. This article begins with the revival and sublimation of the spirit of Dionysian on behalf of a passionate life, pointing out that it is the Dionysian dream that gives modern people the meaning and courage to survive in order to overcome the cruelty and absurdity in the real world. At the same time, it gives modern people Belief in life, make people believe that there is something better to lead life toward beauty.
