我国干旱和半干旱地区的耕地面积较大,约占全国耕地面积的52.5%,其中没有灌溉条件的旱地约占全国耕地面积的30.8%。黄淮海平原属于干旱和半干旱地区,约有耕地一亿亩左右,以小麦的种植面积最大,据1983年统计约占该地区作物播种面积的37.3%。由于受旱、薄、碱的影响,亩产量低而不稳。因此,探索旱地小麦的增产途径,提高小麦单产,对发展黄淮海地区的农业具有重要意义。
China’s arid and semi-arid areas have a large area of arable land, accounting for about 52.5% of the total arable land in China.
