An approach is recommended for the correction of common Pb contribution to {{}+{207}Pb}/{{}+{206}Pb} ages obtained by the zircon evaporation technique. A comparison with that by Cocherie et al. (1992) shows that two approaches yield similar results in the {{}+{207}Pb}*/{{}+{206}Pb}* ratios. But when using the new approach, only two errors of the measured {{}+{204}Pb}/{{}+{206}Pb} and {{}+{207}Pb}/{{}+{206}Pb} ratios are introduced to the calculated {{}+{207}Pb+*}/{{}+{206}Pb+*} ratios.
