The mathematical model of the combustion process of suspended dust was established. This model is used to simulate the combustion process of wheat flour-air mixture. The results show that the vortex in the flame is caused by the non-uniform exothermic reaction due to the non-uniformity of dust concentration. These results are useful for understanding the laminar burning behavior of particulate dust.
