Serum HBsAg, anti-HCV and ALT were detected by ELISA in 2660 heroin addicts. The results showed that the positive rates of HBsAg and anti-HCV in the heroin addicts were 37 8% and 53 9%, respectively. The number of HBsAg positive and anti-HCV positive 4 56 cases and the overlap infection rate were significantly higher than those in the control group (29%, 22%, 108%). The difference between the two groups was significant (P <0.01). Among 26 6 heroin addicts, the abnormal ALT rates in patients with HBV and HCV infection were 26.3% and 59.6%, respectively. There was a significant difference between the two (P <0.01). The abnormality rate of ALT in HBV HCV co-infected patients was 62.1%, which was significantly different from that in HBV infected patients (P <0.01). There was no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0 0) 5). In iv heroin addicts, the HCV infection rate is higher than that of HBV, and the abnormal rate of ALT in anti-HCV positive patients is higher than that of HBsAg positive ones. Tip iv Drug transmission of HCV has become an important and can not be ignored.
