Objective To study the factors of pilots’ family children and marriage (SLOCE) and provide the basis for the psychological consultation and treatment of pilot marriage and family. Methods In-flight pilots’ families were surveyed at the same time. The couples and marital subscales, self-rating clinical symptoms scale, stressful life events questionnaire, social support rating scale and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire were also tested in the Olson Marital Questionnaire. Results The pilots and their wives’ SLOCE were significantly correlated with their personality, mental health, life events, social support and age. Multivariate analysis revealed that pilot’s SLOCE was significantly emotional; and his wife’s SLOCE was also affected more by emotional events than by life events. CONCLUSIONS To increase the satisfaction of SLOCEs for pilots, the counseling should include the mental health level, personality, life events, social support, and age factors.
