第六届客家方言国际学术研讨会于2004年12月18—19日在福建厦门大学举行。此次会议由厦门大学汉语语言学研究中心和厦门大学国际客家文化研究中心联合举办,来自中国内地、台湾、香港以及马来西亚的六十多位学者参加了会议,提交论文46篇。会议采用大会报告和分组发言讨论相结合的形式,就客方言的历史层次、客方言与周边方言的关系、客方言的功能与形态等进行了讨论,交流了新的研究成果,展望了今后的 The 6th Hakka Dialect International Symposium was held on December 18-19, 2004 in Xiamen, Fujian. More than 60 scholars from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia attended the conference and submitted 46 papers.
