文化是一个社会群体中各个成员的信仰、观念、风俗、行为、社会习惯等的总和。而语言则是思想的具体表现方式。语言和文化不可分割,它们相互影响,相互依靠。通过学习英语我们可以看出使用该语言的社会文化,看到西方社会的自然环境、生产劳动、风俗习惯、宗教信仰、历史典故、思维方式等。本文试图在教学实践的基础上,通过对比中西文化的差异,使学生对英美文化有所了解,促进中学英语教学。 Culture is the sum of the beliefs, beliefs, customs, behaviors, social habits, etc. of each member of a social group. The language is the specific way of thinking. Language and culture are indivisible and they interact and depend on each other. Through studying English, we can see that the social culture using this language can see the natural environment, production labor, customs, religious beliefs, historical allusions and ways of thinking in the western society. Based on the teaching practice, this article attempts to make students understand Anglo-American culture by comparing the differences between Chinese and Western cultures and promote English teaching in middle schools.
