Visitors attend a painting exhibition marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen， a prominent revolutionary leader， in Beijing on November 8.
Sun， who was born in 1866 in south China’s Guangdong Province and subsequently educated in Honolulu， Hawaii， and in Hong Kong， played a pivotal role in overthrowing the Qing Dynasty （1644-1911） and ending over 2，000 years of dynastic rule in China.
