本文从教学型高校自身条件、翻译人才类型和社会对翻译人才需求三方面论述了教学型高校本科翻译专业（方向）人才培养目标，进而探讨了翻译课程设置特点：双语阅读课程、以输出为主的语言技能、翻译技能课程和多领域应用翻译课程，以培养能够在经贸、科技等多领域从事翻译的应用人才。
